Last year my colleagues and I got together and bought our boss a "goat" as a holiday gift from a website called Oxfam. She didn't really get a goat. Rather, we purchased one from the website that would be donated to a less fortunate family in Africa. The goats provide families with much needed milk and fertilizer which they can use to provide nourishment to the household or sell for income.

Fortune Favors
It seems like there are about a million options for wedding favors these days. From thoughtful to flavorful they each say a little bit about the bride and groom and help to dress up the tables. We however wont have tables. The reality is that favors, while fun are not a necessity by any means. They are something that we might do with a few leftover dollars from our wedding budget. I am not interested in candles, golf balls or those little mini maple syrups that appear at every Vermont wedding. I would prefer something personal and interesting.
