Magnet or no magnet?...
That is the question. Should my save the dates be on a magnet or not? For some reason it seems like save the dates have turned into one of the big opportunities for a bride and groom to show how unique they are. After all, it is your first big opportunity to introduce people to your wedding. It is important to make a favorable impression.
Last year three friends sent us magnets. More recently, a friend hand made her magnets out of an assortment of crafting materials. They are super cute, albeit really labor intensive.
It is clever and seems to be the popular save the date option these days. Guests can display the magnet on their refrigerator as a constant reminder of your impending nuptials. In my research to find the perfect save the date, I have found an abundance of hideous options. However, Magnet Street has a nice selection of tasteful designs to fit nearly any theme.
Who knows if I will go with a magnet in the end or not. I certainly like the idea, but want something unique and different. Do you have any clever save the date ideas? If so... share them here.

Well, even if you don't do the magnet, I'd say don't do regular cards either. They just get shuffled through the pile of stuff on the table, to the crap in the drawer, to the trash can.
I wonder if you can do a save the date email, with a link to put it in your electronic calendar (which many people faithfully follow). It would save paper and postage, and get the job done. And of course you'd be able to design it and make it pretty, as is your specialty.
