Get Married on Garden Island
So... as some of you may know, we are planning to host our wedding at a really unique venue, most likely a private estate or something like that. In my quest to find the most accommodating property for our guests, I have found all sorts of amazing places.
Garden Island is one of my favorites. Situated in Lake Champlain, off the coast of Charlotte, Vermont in Converse Bay, the Island is a little known paradise. I have lived in Vermont for 14 years and have never heard of the place. Nonetheless it came up in some google searches and I was immediately intrigued. With six houses, home to twenty bedrooms, the island is a private compound, large enough for a small wedding or your closest friends.
Approximately 15,000 will get you the entire island for a week. Imagine your wedding along the shore, with the beautiful blue lake and mountains in the background. Dream of bonfires on the beach and cocktails in large Adirondack chairs by night.
Although this spot wont quite work for us, I am sure it would be more than ideal for plenty of couples looking for a week long wedding!
